Chiller work is the deep end of commercial HVAC, and it is the specialty JNC Mechanical was built around. We service air-cooled and water-cooled plants of every tonnage, from a single packaged air-cooled machine on a roof to a multi-chiller central plant feeding an entire campus.
Scope covers compressor teardown and overhaul, refrigerant management and leak detection and repair, tube bundle and condenser work, oil analysis and change-out, starter and control troubleshooting, and cooling tower service including fill, drift eliminators, basins, and fan drives. Seasonal start-up and shutdown are a large part of the calendar for facilities that swing a plant on in spring and off in fall.
Because a chiller failure usually takes an entire building with it, the diagnosis matters more than the wrench time. We log operating pressures, temperatures, approach, and amp draw before recommending anything, so the repair addresses the actual fault rather than the most recent symptom.

What size and type of chillers do you service?
Air-cooled and water-cooled plants of every tonnage, including scroll, screw, and centrifugal machines. We handle single packaged units and multi-chiller central plants.
Do you repair refrigerant leaks or just top off the charge?
We find and repair leaks. Repeatedly topping off a charge is a maintenance cost that grows every year and is a refrigerant handling problem, so we locate the leak, repair it, and document the work.
Can you do a seasonal chiller start-up before cooling season?
Yes. Seasonal start-up and shutdown is standard work for us. Booking it before the first hot week is the single cheapest thing a facility can do, because a fault found in April is a scheduled repair and the same fault found in July is an emergency.
